Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These terms govern your use of TestMyIQ at testmyiq.co (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who can use TestMyIQ

You may take the free test regardless of age with a parent or guardian’s permission where required. You must be at least 18 to purchase the full report, because a purchase is a contract. By buying, you confirm you are 18 or over.

What TestMyIQ is - and is not

TestMyIQ is a recreational, IQ-style cognitive benchmark intended for interest and self-comparison. It is not a clinical, medical, psychological or diagnostic instrument. Your result is not a clinically validated IQ score and must not be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about any medical, psychological, educational, employment or other important matter.

Scores are influenced by many factors on the day — focus, tiredness, environment and familiarity with this kind of puzzle — and can vary between sittings. We provide the Service “as is” and make no promise that it measures any particular trait or predicts any outcome.

Your result and signing in

When you finish the test we create a result and give you a private link to it. Anyone with that link can view the result, so keep it to yourself. Providing an email is optional; if you do, you can use passwordless sign-in (a one-time emailed code) to return to your past results. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and your result links secure.

Payment and pricing

The test is free to take. Unlocking your full report and certificate is a single one-time payment of the price shown at checkout (currently £1.99). There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Payment is processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We may change the price from time to time, but the price shown at the moment you pay is the price you pay.

Refunds and cancellation

The full report is digital content supplied immediately. When you unlock it you expressly ask us to begin supplying it straight away and acknowledge that you therefore lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, once supply has begun.

This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: if the report is faulty, not as described, or you paid but did not receive it, you are entitled to a remedy, and we will put it right or refund you. If something went wrong with your purchase, email support@testmyiq.co and we will help.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, scrape, resell, republish or redistribute the questions, answers or any part of the Service;
  • attempt to bypass the payment or reveal answers or scoring before payment;
  • reverse engineer, probe or disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means; or
  • use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms us or other users.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its questions, artwork, text, scoring and design, belongs to us or our licensors. On payment we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to view and download your own report and certificate for your personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.

You keep any rights you have in your own responses. You grant us a licence to use your responses and results in anonymised, aggregated form to operate, calibrate and improve the benchmark — for example, to compute percentile norms. This use never identifies you. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and working, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may carry out maintenance, at any time.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any decision you make based on your result, nor for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence, and to use online dispute resolution where available.
